Our method:
Particle-based in-situ remediation

We inject customised suspensions from patented nano- and microparticles into contaminated aquifers. The particles react with the pollutants on-site, deep in the ground, and thereby degrade them. It sounds simple in principle. In detail, it is highly sophisticated.

Each location has its own particular attributes and each case of contamination is different: For the targeted and customised application of our NMP, it is necessary for us to capture the site conditions in high resolution and collate them in the form of a conceptual location model. Only in this way can we identify the peak burdens and the main displacement paths. These three components – high resolution site exploration, the integration of data in the conceptual site model and the subsequent NMP application for the elimination of the contamination – provide the basis for our integrated Intrapore system.

In the 21st century, the availability of clean water is a global challenge. With particle-based in situ remediation, Intrapore is making a contribution to the global access to clean water and healthy soil.

Even if the sites are difficult to access, the pollutants are complex and all the conventional processes fail – our method of remediation works. Excellently. And gentle and safe on the environment and people as well

Minimally invasive – maximum effectiveness: particle-based groundwater remediation

More than 20 different nano- and microparticles are at our disposal which we have combined into 5 processes. In this respect, the patented NMPs act as oxidative or reductive reagents, as adsorption, enrichment or redox-active precipitants. The elimination or immobilisation of the pollutants is the consistent goal.

To this end, the intrarem® nano- and microparticles in the colloidal injection suspensions are adapted individually to the site. We aspire to carry out the particle application as accurately as possible. In this context, we focus on the hotspots with the highest pollutant concentrations and their main displacement paths.

The success of our application has proved us right. To date, we have successfully treated some two dozen locations throughout Europe with our method. In 2019, we took part in the German Accelerator Program of the BMWi in New York.

Our qualifications

Intrapore is able to produce the entire range of certificates and qualifications that a specialist provider of technical services requires for the groundwater remediation. You can rely on our engineers, geologists and chemists:
